The Treaty between Kurum Ash-Sharqia and the Bani Laman is a treaty between Kurum Ash-Sharqia and the Bani Laman, a stateless tribe living in The Green. It was signed in 1731 AN in Vrijplaats.

Background

The Surveying and Expansion Commission, led by Zahra Ayari, proposed to have treaties with two larger settlements of stateless people, in order to create goodwill in these settlements for the expansion.

The Bani Laman lived near the settlement Laman, a former Thracistani seaport.

The treaty was signed by Zahra Ayari for Kurum Ash-Sharqia and by Mehmet Turan for the Bani Laman.

The Sultan of Kurum Ash-Sharqia,
The authorized representative of the Bani Laman,

have agreed as follows:

Article 1. The Bani Laman shall not oppose the expansion of Kurum Ash-Sharqia and shall guarantee an orderly takeover. They shall be loyal to the Sultan and to the consitution.

Article 2. Kurum Ash-Sharqia shall guarantee human and civil rights for the Bani Laman and the people residing in the region of Laman, who shall receive the Kurum Ash-Sharqian nationality upon request.

Article 3. There shall be a Goverorate of Bani Laman, which shall have the same degree of autonomy as the other governorates of Kurum Ash-Sharqia.

Article 4. The Kurum Ash-Sharqian central government shall invest in the City of Laman in order to modernize the infrastructure and create an economically viable seaport.

Article 5. This treaty shall enter into force upon ratification of both high contracting parties in accordance with their native procedures.

In witness whereof, the high contracting parties have signed their names and affixed their seals.
