Condominium era

In August RP 2618, since this territory borders Amaland in the south and Karnamark in the north, it caused Hurmu to want to expand his influence in Keltia including in this territory. Hurmu has put forward a proposal to make Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï a state. Since the Phineonesian Confederation including Phinbella does not want to give up their influence in this territory, there is a new proposal to share sovereignty over this territory with Hurmu, which is to make this territory a condominium. This proposal has been approved by Hurmu and it needs to be debated in both countries. Finally on November 1, RP 2618, an agreement on the establishment of a condominium on Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï was signed by Phinbellan side, the Phineonesian Confederation side and also Hurmu side. The agreement contained twelve articles. The agreement marked the beginning of the condominium era in the territory.

History

Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï before 1714 was a non-self-governing territory, it was administered under the concession of the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Chartered Company and the Department of Infrastructure, Transportation, Cities, Regional Development and Local Government. The Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Accord RP 2618 established the full sovereignty of the Confederation of the Phineonesian Nations over this territory as a dependent territory administered by the chartered company. And the agreement will take effect through the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Act 2618. The administrative system in this territory was the same as in the Phinbellan mainland, only it is based on the administrative structure in the Phinbellan Maritime Territories. As the area of the territory was larger, it was divided into three residencies; Rompin Residency, North Tōnán'hyôrï Residency and Pertengahan Gong Residency, and one unincorporated area. Residencies are divided into twelve collectivities and three autonomous sub-districts and each collectivity and autonomous sub-districts are each run by a collectivity officer.

When this territory was integrated into Phinbella, the legal system in the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï is under the jurisdiction of the Chartered Company, and it is a separate legal system. However, an administrator who administered this territory was appointed by President of Phinbella and lived in this territory. Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Act establishes the institution of administrator of the territory to hold responsibilities as the head of administration of a chartered company, territorial governor (equivalent to the head of the entity) and chief of police, as well as holding other powers conferred from the executive branch. The duties of an administrator include territorial administration policy, environmental policy, space law, family law, territorial law enforcement, estate and settlement management, tourism management, public information services etc. which are the duties of an administrator in this territory. The head of government in this territory is a chairman of the Council for Sustainable Government, of which he will chair. The Council for Sustainable Government serves as the government cabinet in this territory. The unicameral legislature in this territory is empowered by the concessionaire, the number of seats received by each residencies is determined by the population, currently no elections in this territory are held.

In the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Act 2618, the law of this territory is separate from the law of the Free area of the Federation, just as the law in the Phinbella Maritime Territories is also separate and distinct. Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï is not under the jurisdiction of certain autonomous entities, this Chartered Company has established many public services. At the beginning of RP 2618, the population of Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï will be 4,082,880 people, with a density of 13 people per square kilometer. Since the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Chartered Company administered the territory, the population in the territory has increased as a result of migration from the Phinbellan Mainland. These settlers initially consisted of the Phineaners and Taesongean communities, but later immigrants were the Ryukchiner, Batavian and Boers communities from the Rimba Raya and Pos Appat. Followed also by later settlers from the Finns or Yaarrish and Irish community living in the Oriental Hispanioéire Taemhwan were also brought to this territory. Many settler settlements and estates are found in this territory. Eurphineonesian communities such as the Yapreayan and Pyeongrang Martians, as well as alien communities such as the Gogobugian, Xenovian, Cubulus and Martians were brought to Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï to be laborers on estates and road construction sites, as well as workers in shops, restaurants and brothels. Prior to the arrival of the settlers to this territory, the early population in this territory which consists of indigenous groups including Tyodong and also the Murut community who are natives of the Phinbellan mainland who migrated to this territory was about 120,000 people. Most of the indigenous communities including Tyodong and Murut are the majority in the interior areas of the territory, but have now declined by 4 to 10 percent as a result of the growth of the settler population in this territory. The migration of immigrants from mainland Phinbellan and from outside Phinbella has led to an increase in population from 100,000 in -20BP to 650,000 in -10BP and to 780,000 in -5BP.

Tōnán'hyôrïans are a Eurphinonesian ethnic group native to the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï, which is a mixture of the races and cultures of Phineaner, Taesongean, Irish, Finns, Ryukchiners, Sangunese and Peranakan settlers with Yapreayan, Jewish, Gogobugian and Cubulus slaves. Already many groups of slave communities including those of Jewish descent were assimilated with the settler community through intermarriage, this community has emerged since the increase in population in this territory, and this community had its own culture and had a strong influence from the Phineaner and Yapreayan community. Under the rule of the Chartered Company, not only the Yapreayan community and the Phinbellan aliens community had been recruited by the company, but the Federation Islander Sangunese community was also recruited to this territory to be made laborers in new areas or participate in various economic activities in this territory. The Sino-Keltian community including the Peranakans were also brought to this territory for the same purpose. The majority of the Sino-Keltian communities in this territory are Hoklo and Hakka groups, of which the Hoklo group comes from the Territory of Kota Hilir and the Straits Settlements, however the population of the Hoklo group is declining due to migration to its place of origin, with a shortfall of 15 percents. The Hakkas in this territory is mostly immigrants and their descendants coming from the Taemhwanian Mainland counties and from the Keijinshin metropolitan region, as well as locally born Hakkas. As well as there are also Cantonese communities from the Territory of Flower and Negara Awan who mostly work as civil servants and government employees. The Sam-Sam Laut community appeared in this territory since the provisional Phinbellan government, they remained with their customs and some came as traders in the territory. The settlement of the Sam-Sam Laut community is in the coastal area of this territory.

Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï also has a significant expatriate community, which consists of Indokistani and Forajasakian communities, as well as has the Arbors refugee community, it is found in urban areas including in the capital of this territory. Hurmudan community especially Amalandic, Karnali and Lontinians (White or Blue) are found in rural areas surrounding main cities in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï.

Language

The official languages in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï are Phineaner (with Phinbellan as the standardized form of Phineaner in Phinbella), Taesongean and Common Tongue, where both of the three languages are used for official purposes. All three languages are used in government institutions and in schools in the territory. In addition to the Standard Phineaner language, the Phinbellan language, other standard languages such as the Forajasakian and Indokistani languages are also spoken in this territory. Most of the locals of Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï are bilingual. Gangwol Phineaner is the main dialect in all three dependencies including Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï itself, although the Phineaner language spoken in this territory can be divided into several types of dialects and Phineaner creoles, Tōnán'hyôrïan Phineaner is the most highly evolved and dominant speech pattern or vernacular in this territory and it is spoken by the community of Tōnán'hyôrïans and aliens living in this territory, Tōnán'hyôrïan Phineaner is one of the creole or pidgin branches based on Gangwol Phineaner itself and mixed with other Phineaner dialects, it also has influence very strong of the Batavian, Petjok, Arboric, Yäärrish, Hebrew, Sangunese and Sino-Keltian languages. However, there are traditionally spoken Phineaner dialects or pidgins in this territory. The original Gangwol dialect is also spoken by Tōnán'hyôrïans as a parent to their speech outside Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï. The dialect that is also spoken in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï is Ryukchin Phineaner where it is still spoken by the Ryukchiner community in this territory, mostly in urban and suburban areas. The Shintarian dialect is spoken in a few narrow areas of villages and fishing towns along the coast of this territory, except in the Roshai area and the North Tōnán'hyôrï Residency, usually spoken by the Shintarian community who migrated to this territory. Another dialect spoken by the community in some villages outside Longhïa'pyōn Tawao (mainly in the Balung area) and Muadzam Shah is a different pidgin or Phineaner creole variant and is most closely related to the Javanese Phineaner creole spoken by the Javanese community in Phinbella.

Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï is also home to the majority of indigenous languages such as the Phinbellan Aboriginal languages, most of which belong to the Proto-Phineaner branch such as Toromuan and Amit, as well as four languages belonging to the Aslian branch of Dromokheltiatik namely Csemei, Kyimow (Quemaw), Oh Hwut and Samaroulai are also spoken in this territory considering its larger area. Not forgetting the Sam-Sam Laut, Tyodong, Murut, Iqahan, Hulonthaloan and Lun Bawang languages are also spoken. Most of the Phinbellan Alien community in this territory speak more Phineaner than their mother tongue, as many as 22.7 percent of the aliens still speak Gogobugian and Xenovian languages.

The Sino-Keltians in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï include the Benteng people who speak mostly Hokkien and Hakka, and also have significant speakers of Cantonese and Hailamese. The Jing community in this territory predominantly speaks Jingdaoese.

Eeshan is spoken predominantly by the Eeshan people who make up the majority of the Phinbellan Indians in this territory, due to its border with the Keltian Hurmu districts, the Karnali language is also spoken by the Karnali people who live in this territory.

Religion

Economy

The beginning of economic activity in this territory was well planned while still under the Phinbellan administration, and this economic activity is still continued under the administration of the condominium between Hurmu and Phineonesian Confederation. The Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï authorities at this time began to open up land for agriculture and settlement, and native land rights began to take shape. Although the early settlers were mostly from Phinbella and Forajasaki, the late RP 2600s saw an influx of Hurmudan settlers who also explored the land for the same purpose. The government, however, felt that the indigenous population in this territory was too small and not suitable to meet the needs of modern development either in urban or rural areas, so in -20BPs, the territorial government at that time began sponsoring a scheme for the migration of Eurphineonesian and Phinbellan aliens to work in this territory. The Phinbellan authorities in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï have appointed Megat Nour Azman Farquhar as the Commissioner for Phinbellan Tōnán'hyôrïan Investment Commissioner in this territory in a mission to attract more businessmen to invest in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï by providing labor from all over the Phineonesian Confederation and countries another. The community of Finns and Jews who were not part of the commission's plan, began to migrate to Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï where they formed an agricultural community.

Since the -40BPs, tobacco has been the leading cultivation industry in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï, followed by cocoa and palm oil cultivation, however, since the RP 2600s, the agricultural industry in this territory has been dominated by the production of vegetables and tubers, but the cultivation of tobacco and cocoa continues as usual until today. In modern times, forestry remains the main sub-sector with tropical timber being an important product in the territory, as large forest areas support the mass production of wood products. The history of logging in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï can be traced back to the decade of the -30BPs and since then the export of logs from this territory to other Phinbellan regions including to the Vers Empire is increasing with logging growing especially in the period between -25BP to -14BP and during the era of Phinbellan provisional government. In the -20BPs, Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï joined the rubber boom. The Vers Empire contributed to the introduction of rubber products into Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï to be used as the main agricultural product in this territory. By -12BP, about 84,712 acres of land, in addition to the Bentengs, Finns and Tōnán'hyôrïan smallholdings, were planted with rubber trees. Ryukchiners and Boers who came to Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï participated in economic activities by exploring the land for vegetable and corn crops and raising cattle. Communities in coastal areas and river basins in this territory contribute to fisheries and aquaculture products for export to Forajasaki and the rest of the mainland Phinbellan region. In -8BP, the Administrator of this territory at the time, Wan Aylmer Schmidan Nakashima invited Sangunese immigrants in Phinbella to participate in economic activities in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï.

In the early stages of the migration of the Sangunese community, the Sangunese who were in the offshore islands encouraged their workers and farmers to go to Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï to cultivate crops, especially growing rice, sugar cane and bananas. As they depended on imports of their crops in Tanahq Tōnán'hyôrï, and sugar cane had also become increasingly sought after. Since -6BP, the Sangunese people in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï have opened settlements and also 24,000 hectares for sugarcane cultivation. They significantly expanded the quantity of rice and sugar cane produced in the territory's highlands, with nearly 3,480 hectares of sugar cane estates and over 2,800 acres of rice fields under cultivation by RP 2600. With increased economic interest from the Islander Sangunese, they bought the rubber plantations that they owned by the Chartered Company. Currently, there are many estates cultivated and owned by Sangunese people in this territory, and privately owned Phinbellan Sangunese community companies have been involved in the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï economic sector since being invited by the Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï Chartered Company. And since then, many Federation Islander Sangunese people also migrated with their families to the Rompin Residency, especially to Longhïa'pyōn Tawao, Muadzam Shah and Cenderawasih.
