Security

The permanent garrison for the airport's Federal Cantonment is provided by the 195^th and 5425^th (Airborne) Engineer Regiments, responsible for the maintenance of the runway and its ancillary facilities, supported by the 2^nd Demi-Regiment of the 26^th Field Infantry Regiment, in charge of perimeter defence and 'A' Troop, 9^th Squadron of the 14^th Field Artillery Regiment, including 1x Silver Hammer Battery attached from the Ground-Based Air Defence Establishment, responsible for wider area defence.
