He is a member of the Federal Humanist Party (FHP). He previously served as Secretary of State in the Paolo Antonio Aguilar administration from 1723 AN-1729 AN, and as the Mayor of Ciudad Real, Santander for 20 years from 1698 AN - 1718 AN.
