As far as I'm aware, Michael Jackson has never been a member of any micronation forum.

No no, I mean DeWaCo. I remember their website from a few years ago, which mostly consisted of spinning stars and hammer and sickles, and yet was an imperium with a royal family.List of Micronations wrote:As far as I'm aware, Michael Jackson has never been a member of any micronation forum.

We will always be children to people like that because we see the reality that pixels and a basic forum are many thousands of times more effective and realistic than trying to secede from IRL land. You guys REALLY need to put up that secessionist warningdr-spangle wrote:Either way, We "Kiddy role player sites" aren't good enough for you are we?

There's no need to get snippy.dr-spangle wrote:We "Kiddy role player sites" aren't good enough for you are we?
I simply invited people here to visit the LOM forum if they wished to do so.
Given that it's got a lot more in the way of active discussion happening than here, and in light of the recent precipitous decline in activity on a number of other micronation forums, I thought that might be a matter of legitimate interest.
In response you promptly rocked up at LOM and began a "my micronation list is better than your micronation list" pissing contest.
As I said elsewhere, I think your list is a good resource; it is informative and serves a specific legitimate purpose. I commend you for it.
Let's just leave it there, shall we?

Sure?List of Micronations wrote:Given that it's got a lot more in the way of active discussion happening than here
Doesn't your List of Micronations also contain simulationist nations? If it does, then your invitation isn't as misplaced as a few of the responses have inferred it to be, even if the majority of posters there are secessionists

Re: Micronation forum invitation
For ease of use, the LOM list of micronations is divided into 2 sections...
A list of physical micronations...
consisting of micronations which have some sort of reliably documented projection of their existence into the real, corporeal world.
and
A list of virtual micronations...
consisting of micronations that - as of this minute - exist entirely in an electronic or theoretical form.
Terms such as "secessionist" and "simulationist" are emotive, subjective and open to misinterpretation, which is why the LOM list project has elected to apply an organisational paradigm based on simple, measurable, subjectively neutral inclusion criteria.

Re: Micronation forum invitation
Physical = secessionist and virtual = simulationist, basically, as a matter of avoiding any needless discussions.
I'm sure you agree with what I said, however, as well as defining things we already knew

Re: Micronation forum invitation
The reason it turned into a "Pissing contest" was because instead of taking blodvad's comments to head and thinking why he would say that, you decided to simply badmouth the opposing list. I'm willing to ignore the fact you edited your original post, in order to delete my comments upon your bitching of my friend and the hobby in general.. because I'm nice.. but don't do it in future. If someone wishes to make a comment saying theirs/someone elses is better, improve yourself, or inquire to them why they think that and work on it. Don't sit there and say "Oh.. well, you're wrong, mine is obviously better". And secondly, don't go around expressing/hinting that your side of the hobby is better than ours just because we don't go around with the hope of becoming 'Miss real'.
I'm sure your list has its good points, at most equal to spangles. Same with your hobby.
